For me, cooking without measurements is basically a death sentence. So when my grandmother gave me a bajillion tomatoes from her garden to take home and told me to throw them on the grill and make a roasted tomato sauce, I thought … wait … what? But how many tomatoes? Grill them for how long? What do I do after? Do I add olive oil? Basil? Garlic? How much? Ahhh! Still, knowing it would be a disaster, I tried it out anyway.
I will say that it came out a lot better than expected, especially considering I just decided to wing it with little to no direction. Then again, everything tastes better when it’s home-grown and fresh. I still want to tweak all the additions before posting a recipe, but look out for that soon!
